How To Prepare for Your Initial Consultation
Thank you for this opportunity to introduce our firm to you.
Our goal is to provide competent and objective financial advice to our clients. One of the first questions to ask a financial planner is..."Can he help me?" (Is he competent?) and "Will he help me?" (Is he objective?). The attached Firm Brochure outlines our competance in providing financial advice, and the Fiduciary Oath outlines our commitment to helping our clients by putting their best interests first.
The next question to ask of a financial planner is what will it cost? An explanation of our services and fees is also included to provide a general idea of the approximate cost of our services. We will provide a firm quote after our initial no-cost consultation.
Generally, an initial consultation last 60 to 90 minutes. This confidential conversation is complimentary to you, as we believe it is critical that you find a financial planning firm that not only listens well and asks the right questions, but one that you believe will meet (and hopefully exceed) your expectations.
During our meeting, you can expect us to ask questions about your goals, dreams, and aspirations as well as any anxieties you may have about your personal finances. Please begin by thinking about what's important to you and how your quality of life could improve if X, Y, or Z were addressed.
You may also find it helpful to bring the following items with you:
1. Your most recent tax return
2. Current investment, insurance, and bank statements
3. Employee benefit booklet(s)
4. One month's pay stubs
5. Declaration and endorsement pages for life, disability, auto, homeowners, and personal insurance.
6. Any estate planning documents, such as wills, trust, powers of attorney
On behalf of our team at CEP FINANCIAL, thank you for your inquiry. We look forward to building a long and successful financial planning relationship with you.
Please contact us at your earliest convenience to schedule your complimentary initial consultation. You can reach us at 281-685-9715. |
